How many glasses of water do you drink a day? I know I don’t drink nearly enough. Our body needs water. You may not realize that you are thirsty or craving water. If your mouth feels dry – your body wants water. If you feel hungry but just ate something – your body needs water. In fact before you eat something; go drink a full glass of water, wait a few minutes and then, see if you are still hungry. This will not only help your body’s craving for water, but you will avoid those extra calories. If your breath smells, it could be because you haven’t had enough water.
So the question is, how much water does a person need per day? In general, you should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day. Web MD Jul 7, 2009
