How to Make a Better You - Be Thankful with a Grateful Heart
by Nina Sabin - Healthy Tip

Holidays often bring mixed emotions joy and sadness. Unfortunately, many of us can allow the sadness of past hurts during holidays or loss loved ones who aren’t with us anymore consume us and we lose that joy that God so desperately wants us to have in our lives. The question is what value does reliving the past hurts add to your life? You lived it once, do you really want to live it repeatedly.
What we think, what we feel, and what we believe about ourselves is a choice. We can choose to be stuck in the past or we can choose to let go of the past, move forward, find joy and give thanks in all circumstances.
God says in Thessalonians 5:18 - Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
A song that sums up how we should spend Thanksgiving and every day is Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart. - Listen to it and sing it every day, it will help heal your heart.
Another thing that can help heal is a Gratitude or Good Vibes Journal. Each day list one thing no matter how small it may be that you found went well and you can be grateful for. Today, Thanksgiving, the day of thanks, is a great place to start.
Sometimes we cannot let go on our own. We need support to stay strong, accountability (so we will not fall backwards, or if we do, we have someone to help us get back up) and guidance to continue on the path to joy and contentment.
