In my Healthy Tip, Put Your Phone Down, I explain the affects to your health from technology. Do you or do you know someone who seems to always be on their phone? Did you know that is a form of addiction? Did you also know that social media affect self-esteem? Please share how technology - cell phones, tablets, and computers affect your life. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yes, I do see how technology can affect my life. I get lost in my phone and computer most days. I work from home and on my computer most of the day. The problem when working from home is I don't know when to stop working. I could sit all day writing, playing games, and looking at social media. I know that is not healthy and definitely not good for my relationships. I know I can't give them full attention, but as you mentioned, I do become defensive as I think I can multitask, but truthfully, I can't give the person talking attention if I am focused on what I am doing on the computer. I really like the idea of learning to set time to use technology and then quality time with my loved ones with no phones while we are talking. I also think when the phones are on speaker, that is impersonal, you can't hear well, and the person who has you on speaker phone is busy doing something else and not really paying attention. I know this from experience. Thanks again for a great topic to think about. I plan to learn how to balance my technology time.
