Living with God

Every day we go through struggles. We try to do it on our own or think we are in control. The truth is, we don’t have control of anything. God is in control. He created us and has a plan for each of our lives. When we try to do things on our own we usually struggle or fail, but with God all things are possible. He has already planned out our life we just need to let Him lead. So the best thing we can do is work on our relationship with our heavenly father and let Him direct our lives. Here are ways to daily grow in your relationship with God: read his work (daily devotionals are great for that), listen to inspirational christian music (God will Make a Way is one of my favorites), and most importantly PRAY. Journaling your prayers is a great way to see how God has been working in your life. Please share your thoughts.questions,or concerns and how I can help you grow in your walk with the Lord.

I read daily devotionals and listen to inspirational music on YouTube. I find the days I don't have my quiet time is much more challenging because I am trying to be in control and not letting God direct my day. My favorite poem is called "The Difference". I think we make life more difficult for ourselves by not trusting God. I also think memorizing verses help with you spiritual growth. The verse I try to focus on daily is Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lead not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge and He will make your paths straight.

My background: I have been a mentor for 20 years to people struggling with work issues, marital concerns, parenting concerns, depression, and general life concerns. I am a great listener and am here for you. You can either post on this site or contact me privately at focusonfreedoms@gmail.com.
